Warhawks Continue the Hunt for Program's First Win
Decatur, AL – Calhoun Women's Soccer fell 6-0 to Itawamba Community College on Tuesday night at Jack Allen Recreation Complex. The visiting Indians wasted no time, striking in the opening minute before piling on four more goals to carry a 5-0 lead into halftime.
The Warhawks tightened things up in the second half, limiting Itawamba to just one score and showing more composure in their shape and challenges. While Calhoun generated some chances going forward, the final ball and finishing touch proved elusive.
"We've got to be better and really clean up our touches," said Head Coach Andrew McCartney. "When we do that, we'll give ourselves a chance to stay in games and compete the way we know we can."
Calhoun (0-4) will return to action on Thursday, September 11, at 6 p.m. when the Warhawks host UT Southern at Jack Allen Recreation Complex.
