Bio

AJ Daugherty announced the hiring of Griffin Tucker as Athletics Coordinator in June 2025. Tucker brings experience in strategic initiatives, athletics operations, and gameday management, at both the NJCAA and NCAA Division I levels.

Since arriving at Calhoun, Tucker has led several initiatives to elevate the department’s operations and brand. He overhauled and relaunched calhounathletics.com, overseeing all aspects of the site, and managed the integration of Calhoun’s Rocket Alumni Solutions digital display and website. He unified and rebranded all individual sport Instagram accounts and implemented the Box-Out Graphics platform, providing coaches with a professional, standardized social media presence. Tucker has collaborated with the school's public relations team to enhance brand standards and consistency across the athletics department.

Tucker spearheaded the creation of Calhoun’s Sideline store as part of the department's 2025 BSN Sports and Nike partnership, allowing fans to purchase exclusive team gear while directly supporting athletics. He has also led the collaboration with Influxer to manage NIL partnerships for student-athletes, ensuring opportunities align with department standards and compliance requirements.

In addition to his brand and engagement work, Tucker manages NJCAA compliance and student-athlete eligibility, ensuring that Calhoun consistently meets the new standard of excellence at Calhoun.

Before Calhoun, Tucker served as a Graduate Assistant for Ticketing and Advancement at the University of Oklahoma, overseeing student staff and assisting with gameday logistics and donor relations. While at Oklahoma, Tucker was one of twelve graduate assistants nationally to be invited to the Collegiate Athletics Leadership Symposium (CALS) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Tucker has also spent time working directly with NJCAA Region 19 and the NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series, assisting with scheduling, compliance, and event evaluation.

From 2021 to 2023, Tucker worked in Athletics Event Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he was the primary event manager for Lady Vols soccer and also supported operations for football, men’s basketball, baseball, and multiple NCAA postseason events. Prior to his time in Knoxville, Tucker spent three years at Northampton Community College, where he managed facility setup, team logistics, and served as the department’s lead for broadcasting and digital media.

Tucker, a native of Moore Township, Pennsylvania, holds a master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma, a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Sport Management from the University of Tennessee, and an associate degree from Northampton Community College (PA).
